Randy Shane - Owner, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Technology Officer of KITS, located in Round Rock, Texas. Mr. Shane is a talented and accomplished Information Technology professional with over 20 years of experience developing creative and cutting-edge solutions for both the military community and commercial industries. Mr. Shane has authored multiple papers addressing Army, Joint, and Coalition data management and interoperability issues. His work has been published in IEEE Computer Society, and presented at the 9th International Command and Control Research and Technology Symposium and an International Symposium on the emergence of Globally Distributed Technologies under the auspices of the Mass Storage Systems and Technology Committee (MSSTC). Mr. Shane actively participates in progressive, industry-related symposiums such as IEEE, AFCEA, DHS, and the NDIA. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Information Technology (less thesis), as well as several certifications in Cisco, Solaris, and Oracle. As the creator, lead architect, and driving force behind the data initialization solution for the Army's system of systems (SoS) Army Battle Command System (ABCS) architecture, he has proven his ability to successfully plan, coordinate, and direct long-term, multi-million dollar technology development and implementation projects. Randy Shane is considered a subject matter expert (SME) in Army C4ISR systems with over five years of work at the Army's test and integration lab at the Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF) at Fort Hood, Texas. Mr. Shane served in the Army as an enlisted soldier for four years, was commissioned in the Medical Service Corps through ROTC, and left the service as a Captain to pursue his entrepreneurial ideas. Under Randy's leadership, KITS, Inc has grown from only a few employees and $300K in annual sales to 47 employees with over $5M in sales in just three years.

 

Donald W. Jones Lieutenant General (Ret) - President and CEO, served as the Senior Vice President for Chapter Services, and Vice President, Disaster Services of the American Red Cross from September 1991 until March 1, 2001. As the Senior Vice President for Chapter Services, Mr. Jones exercised overall corporate management responsibility for the operation of chapters and the delivery of Red Cross services in the chapter lines of service, i.e., Disaster Services, Armed Forces Emergency Services, and Chapter Operations. As the Vice President, Disaster Services, he ensured expeditious and effective relief was provided to victims of disasters nationwide, and to the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands and South Pacific Island Territories, as set forth by Congressional Charter. Most recently, Mr. Jones served as a team member evaluating the World Trade Center terrorist attack for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Domestic Preparedness. Prior to this assignment, General Jones served as the special assistant to the President of Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. for Emergency Preparedness.

Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Benedict's College and a Masters degree in Business Management from Central Michigan University. Over his military career, Mr. Jones was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Manpower and Personnel Policy, Office of the Secretary of Defense. His other key appointments were as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, Headquarters, United States Army, and as the Commanding General, Military Personnel Command. He was also Assistant Division Commander of the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas, from 1983-85. Mr. Jones served in the United States Army for over 35 years and retired in August 1991 with the permanent rank of Lieutenant General.

Mr. Jones' awards and decorations include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Army Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, and the Meritorious Service Medal.


 
       

 
William E. Parker Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) - Vice President, Operations has over twenty years of experience leading telecommunications and enterprise data processing organizations, with ten years at the executive level. He is a progressive, people-oriented team leader with a proven history of motivating culturally diverse work forces towards organizational goals. His skills include formulating and achieving strategic goals, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and analytical and organizational abilities that complement talent for working within stringent deadlines. Mr. Parker has a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, and a Masters of Science in Systems Technology (C3I) from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. Before coming to KITS, Mr. Parker held numerous executive positions, to include Director, Texas State & Local Operations, Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Senior Manager, Business Consulting, Arthur Andersen, LLP, CIO, State of Arizona, Department of Administration, Director, MIS, National Distribution Center, Arch Communications, and Director, Information Management/Deputy III Corps G6, Fort Hood, Texas.
 
       

 
Drew McDanald - Director, Strategic Programs. Over his career, Mr. McDanald has been a leader in driving revenue and delivering services designed to address customer requirements. From 2004 to 2006, as an Account Executive for the multi-billion dollar IT Services Company, TEKsystems, he developed well over $10 million in revenue & was the largest single producer of gross profit within TEKsystems’ government sector. During this time, as both a prime contractor and subcontractor to the US Army, Mr. McDanald helped manage and deliver the recruitment and training for the U.S. Army’s Digital Systems Engineering Program, which at its peak consisted of approximately 190 C4ISR Engineers. Mr. McDanald has extensive experience building and executing sales strategies, managing enterprise customer relationships, as well as designing and managing large scale recruiting efforts. He is also a member of AFCEA, AUSA, and NDIA. Mr. McDanald graduated from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and immediately began his 9 year career with TEKsystems as a Technical Recruiter. He was subsequently promoted within TEKsystems to Account Manager and then Account Executive before joining KITS as the Director of Strategic Programs in late Fall of 2006.
 
       

 
Bonnie L. Dews - Director, Information Technology has over eighteen years of experience as a Senior Management Consultant, Executive Coach, Director of Sales/ Technology, and Senior Program/Project Manager. She has been providing technical and business infrastructure analysis and stabilization in web, client/server, and mainframe environments. This includes Program and Project management, Configuration Management, and Quality Assurance (IV&V). She has strong communication and facilitation skills, leadership, team building, problem solving, business and technical architecture and design, knowledge transfer (training), vendor management, and process design and improvement following PMI’s PMBOK and the Capability Maturilty Model Integrated (CMMI) Level 2 and 3 attainment criteria. She also has consulted with various business in a trouble-shooting capacity to enable them to stabilize problems in their IT environments/infrastructure and has implemented processes to ensure ongoing maintenance. Ms. Dews has worked in the aerospace, defense, government, and multiple business sectors.
