The Information Technology Security Division (ITSD) is a leading Department of Defense (DoD) Certification & Accreditation and IA Training Solutions provider owned and operated by KITS, Inc. ITSD succeeds by providing comprehensive certification and accreditation services, advanced Information Assurance training, expert level Information Assurance management and technical workforce staffing, IT hardware, software and tools analysis, design and development, enterprise business Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) design, implementation, validation and testing, risk analysis and value of countermeasure determination and Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) services.
Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE)
ISSE is the art and science of discovering customer information protection needs and then designing and making information systems, with economy and elegance, so they can safely resist the forces to which they may be subjected. An ISSE process should be an integral part of systems engineering (SE) and should support certification and accreditation (C&A) standards, such as the DIACAP throughout the entire system/application development life-cycle. DIAM Methodology
ITSD uses the Discovery, Implementation, Accountability and Maintenance (DIAM) Methodology. The DIAM methodology standardizes the ITSD approach to plan, organize, implement and validate information assurance (IA) project systems, services and deliverables. Without a mission execution methodology it would be difficult or even impossible to ensure project success for ITSD customers. The DIAM process is a roadmap to success. This project success is central to the ITSD business philosophy and is the driving force behind the IA services provided by ITSD and their business partners. The DIAM approach will save time, reduce risks, improve ROI, increase project success and provide verifiable project metrics enabling improved project timeline management, clearer risk situational awareness and better project costing assessments.
